Raymond Yap

Raymond Yap is an established Master TetraMap Facilitator , Executive Coach, and Management Consultant.

Raymond Yap obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the Master in Education and Training from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has also obtained a Graduate Diploma in “Leadership and Organisational Learning” from the Singapore Civil Service College (CSC) after completing a one year programme with Dr Daniel Kim and Diane Cory.

Raymond is also an experienced certified Executive Coach and has serves as Executive Coach for Singapore Armed Force (SAF) since Nov 2007. He has since then coaches more than 50 SAF senior officers. Raymond has certified as qualified coach with Stolmack Group Pte Ltd (Australia), University of Lancaster (UK) and Erickson Coaching International (Canada).

Raymond Yap is the only established TetraMap® Master Facilitator in Asia certified by Yoshimi and Jon Brett, who are the founders of the TetraMap®. He is also a certified facilitator for MBTI and SDI profiling tools. In addition, he is a certified Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner.

Raymond has published his book “Pathway to Success – The 4 Elements” in 2014 and interviewed by the Singapore Radio FM88.3 station.

Raymond has served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) for 25 years. Some of the significant appointments he held include Battalion Commander, Brigade Operations Officer, Staff Officer in MINDEF, Wing Commander and Deputy Commander of the Air Force School (AFS). His vast experience with the RSAF covers the areas of operations, training, human resource planning and management, budget control and strategic planning. These experiences set the foundation for him to becoming an active, experienced and professional trainer, consultant and executive coach.

Raymond is also a qualified consultant for Business Excellence (SPRING-Singapore) and Service-Class (SPRING-Singapore). He has served as the MINDEF Excellence Award (MES) Assessor in 2006/07. In 2006-2008, he was involved in preparing 4 units from the Singapore Armed Force (SAF) to prepare the Service Excellence Niche Standard certification. Besides, he also had many exposures to the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) consulting projects. Raymond also has been very active in the Work Improvement Teams (WITS) movement since he was with the SAF in 90s. He had been appointed as internal WITS assessors for the SAF units when he was with MINDEF. He has been facilitating many WITS workshops for the SAF since 2009.

Raymond is a trainer that “walks the talk” and uses himself as an instrument for participants to learn. His powerful personal leadership shines through his facilitation and training. Participants benefit from his deep and open sharing of personal experiences and anecdotes.

Raymond uses a variety of styles to train, depending on the group profile and participant’s background. He uses games, role-play and activities to make learning rich, engaging and meaningful. His enthusiasm for learning and life often rubs off his participants, who walk away feeling inspired and with a renewed sense of energy.
